A Word From the Author

I divided the written content of this site into sections in an attempt to keep things a bit more clearly organized for the average reader.

The purpose of the Music Journal is akin to the old definition of a blog—i.e., a web log—but specifically focused on my musical endeavors. The basic idea is to keep you up to date on how things are going with new recordings, compositions, and music lessons, and give my music-related writings a home.

Of course, while I wanted to keep the primary focus on music at this site, I tend to write my thoughts on non-musical topics as well, so I needed a way to separate them from the music-oriented content. That’s where the META Blog comes in: It’s a place to put the rest of my writing. Or rather, most of it.

There are also things I’ve written that don’t seem to fit into either category particularly well, in most cases because they were originally intended for a different context. As such, I may separate some pieces into a third section.

In any case, I hope that among these pages you find something helpful to your own endeavors or thinking.
